Recovery or Discovery?

The notion of calling a halt to a pattern of futile and self-destructive behaviour, of coming to an understanding of what drives that behaviour and changing it, overcoming it, is hundreds of years old. Traditionally, we have called it ‘recovery’ although, for many, the term ‘discovery’ may be more apposite.
